About Us: Beara Bitters – Crafted in the Heart of Ireland

At Beara Bitters, we believe great cocktails begin with great ingredients, and there’s no place better to infuse and blend those ingredients than the rugged, wild landscapes of Ireland. Born from the passion and vision of Mary, and supported by the sharp eye of Loretto, Beara Bitters is a tribute to the vibrant flavors and timeless craftsmanship that define our homeland.

Inspired by the unfortunate history of the Ó Súileabháin Bhéara, Mary's family, and the Beara Penninsula which was named for the clan, our bitters are crafted in small batches with the finest botanicals and spices. Each drop of Beara Bitters captures the essence of Ireland—earthy, bold, and full of character. We’re not just making bitters; we’re sharing a taste of the land we call home.

All the labels of our bottles tell a story, the story of what they contain. From the gentian flower front and center of our Aromatic Bitters bottle, to the pear emerging from the top of our Smoked Pear bitters, all our bitters are illustrated with the herbs and spices that they individually contain. If you like the illustration, look up Sally Cauldwell, the Dublin- based illustrator who brought our flavours to our labels.

From the bright citrus of our Orange Bitters to the smoky depth of our Smoked Pear, every bottle of Beara Bitters tells a story of Ireland’s rich heritage and unique flavors. It’s a story we’re proud to share, one cocktail at a time.
